The show has opened and the reviews are beginning to flood in... here's the beginning of our ongiong hunt for what you, the audience had to say.
"I was having another shit day at work when my husband gave me a quick call saying: Ive got the tickets to the theatre for tonight would you like to come? I thought itd be a great way to unwind a bit, and didnt even ask what was on.
So, with a splitting headache I went to the theatre that same night and the show that we were to watch turned out to be The Vegemite Tales - a group of bubbling Aussie drunk on freezing VBs. Oh well, so be it!
You've seen the rehearsal footage, now you want a piece of the action right?
We've got tickets to give away to The Vegemite Tales - but you've got to be creative to win them. We want your stories about the worst housemates you've ever had to live with. Did they use your toothbrush, did they have weird eating habits or did their bedroom antics keep you up well into the night? Spill the beans... it's time to VENT.
The best two entries will snap up tickets. Work for it . post your stories of housemate hell in the comments section.
Blair McDonough, Anna Skellern and Jonathon Dutton perch outside of their London rehearsal rooms for a chat with Katie Spain about their Vegemite Tales characters and pre-show jitters. Blair also spills the beans on what it was like working with notorious writer and broadcaster Janet Street-Porter. There's also talk of chat-up lines and housemate hook-ups...
Andy Leonard (Gio)
Andy has played the crowd pleasing Italian character Gio in The Vegemite Tales since 2002. With all this Gio action under his belt, we thought it'd be fitting to kick off the backstage video blogs with the Sydney based actor and his 'Italian Stallion' of a character. Andy takes a moment out of rehearsals to chat all things Vegemite.
We came, we saw, and we dodged the mud and downed the wine at the Toast Australia Festival at Fulham Palace over the weekend. The devoted Vegemite Tales mob were there in force, wading through the mud and spreading the Vegemite love.
Blair and Jonathon braved more than the mud when they took on the man-eaters and all round sex godesses Kath and Kim in the 'kitchen'. The challenge was simple - make a ripper sandwich. The result? For the lads it was a "Rough and ready male type of sandwich you'd throw together after a night out".
The ladies produced something less glamorous. "That's one thing you could call it... simple. Disgusting is another".
Were you there? Did you catch the Australians at play - tell us your Toast experiences in the comments section.
A little Aussie birdy tells us that Blair and Jonathan than will be strutting their stuff at the Toast Australia Festival at Fulham Palace this Sunday (22nd July). Blair will interview none other than comedy duo and all round classy chicks 'Kath and Kim'.
We've got two pairs of free tickets up for grabs - enter here.
It'll be a great day out (there will be over 200 too Australian wines on offer... and top class Australian chefs on hand to cook up a storm). There'll be more prime beef on offer than Blair and Jonathon put together. Be there.
So, we've told you what it's all about... but sometimes it's best to hear it straight out of the 'horse's mouth'. We couldn't find a talking horse at such short notice, but we did manage to track down actor Andrew Robb. He chats to our roving theatre buff about The Vegemite Tales:
